Motorcycle Poker Run will benefit scholarship fund named for Casa Grande police officer
Motorcycle enthusiasts from across the state are invited to participate in a Memorial Poker Run May 3rd. Proceeds from the ride benefit the Sgt. Tate Lynch scholarship fund.
Sgt. Lynch, a Casa Grande police officer, passed away Oct. 25, 2007. Since that time, annual fundraising events have been held to fund the scholarship in his name at Central Arizona College. The scholarship is awarded to students pursuing an education in emergency services.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of Chase Bank, 2812 N. Pinal Ave. in Casa Grande. First bike out at 11 a.m. The ride ends at Airport Tavern FMI. All riders contribute $25.

City of St. Johns seeks applicants for Police Chief
The City of St. Johns in Apache County is seeking applicants to fill the position of Police Chief.
The new Chief will lead a department of 13 FTE, including 10 sworn officers, two clerks and an animal control officer. The position is expected to be filled this summer.
