Retired AZCOPS member seeking City Council seat in Bullhead City
 Jerry Duvall
Longtime AZCOPS member Jerry Duvall, a past president of the Bullhead City Police Officers Association, is seeking a position on the City Council of Bullhead City this month.

Duvall, who currently works for Allegiant Airlines, negotiated the first collective bargaining agreement between the City of Bullhead City and the police association. In fact, he helped establish the Bullhead City Police Department and organized the resource officer program in Bullhead City schools. Since 2004, he has served on the school board of the Bullhead City Elementary School District, and was a founding member of the original Board of Directors of the Colorado River Boys and Girls Club.

Duvall served in the US Army from 1968-72 and completed two tours of duty in Vietnam where he was awarded a Bronze Star, two Purple Hearts, the Combat Infantry Badge and other ribbons. He began his police career in 1973 at Two Rivers Police Department where he served until 1985 when he organized the Bullhead City PD. He retired from Bullhead City PD in 2007.

"AZCOPS encourages our members and retirees to seek elected positions at all levels of government," said AZCOPS President Larry Lopez. "As a member of the City Council, we know Jerry will make a difference for local law enforcement officers and we encourage our members to support him on Election Day."

Election Day is March 10.
