Greetings!
Welcome to our first OH&S newsletter for 2009. We wish you a happy, safe and prosperous year.

It Will Never Happen To Me |
|
A motivational message from Jennifer Deeney, the wife of a construction worker who didn't come home from work one day.
This training DVD is about the workplace death of Kieron, her construction worker husband.
Just like Kieron, none of us feel that we will be the one to get badly hurt at work.
It was the happiest day in Jennifer and Kieron Deeney's lives. A church full of their closest family and friends gathered to help them celebrate their marriage and enjoy a great party afterwards. Just fourteen weeks later the same people were gathered back in the same church, the result of the devastating workplace accident that robbed a young couple of their future together.
Thisᅠsafetyᅠvideoᅠis one of the most poignant and unforgettable safety stories told.
Jennifer reminds us that:
- All accidents are preventable
- We should never walk past an Unsafe Act
- We can all make a difference looking after each other
- Nothing is worth being hurt for
- We should think about the potential consequences for our family and friends
Theᅠtraining DVD is 20 minutes in duration. A short version runs 8 minutes.

Hindsight: The Ken Woodward Story |
|
Hindsight tells Ken's story in his own words as well as those of the people most affected by his accident: his wife and his colleagues.
"It's easy. Just mix these two chemicals together, Ken."
- In hindsight, it never should have happened.
- In hindsight, all the warning signs were there.
- In hindsight, a good safety culture wasn't good enough.
This is the story of one man, his familyᅠand his friendsᅠand what happened to them all the day two hazardous chemicals were mixed together for a routine cleaning procedure.
It's a story of horror. Of regret. Of painful experience. And it's a story no viewer will ever forget.
Reflective, thought provoking and beautifully filmed, Hindsight is Ken Woodward's emotionally charged call to action to all of us.
The perfect antidote to safety cynicism.
The programme consists of:
DVD contents:
- A two-film version of Hindsight (21 mins and 12 mins)
- A presentation from leading safety trainer Martin Woodall, the first trainer to work with Ken following his accident.
CD-Rom contents:
- PowerPoint Presentation
- Trainer's Guide
- 2 x Posters on the accompanying CD
