VA $500

Special offer is valid until 30th June 2008.

Video Arts was established in 1972 by a small group of television professionals, including John Cleese and Sir Anthony Jay. They pioneered the use of humour in training.

For over 30 years they have been producing training videos and DVDs that have entertained and educated hundreds of thousands of employees, in organisations all over the world.

The reason for their success is simple. They believe that for learning material to work, it has to be entertaining. If it's entertaining, it will also be engaging. And the more engaging it is, the more memorable it becomes.

By taking a look through the Video Arts listing you'll find a variety of flexible ways to provide your employees with training that not only entertains, but stays with them for longer.

SPECIAL: Pay Only $395.00+GST for both Management Style DVDs. Normally $495.00+GST RRP

Management styles can be broadly categorised into four types: Paternalistic, Collaborative, Authoritarian and Delegative. In this two part series, we examine these four styles and investigate their advantages and disadvantages.

Program 1 is a study of Paternalistic and Collaborative management styles. As observed through the eyes of a waiter, two groups of employees and their managers arrive for their regular Friday business lunch. The characteristics, benefits and disadvantages of paternalistic and collaborative management styles are examined.

Program 2 is a study of Authoritarian and Delegative styles. Two recruitment companies meet for their annual 10-pin bowling showdown. Each manager displays a very different way of communicating with their team.

This series is an ideal stimulus for thought and discussion about the benefits, disadvantages and implications of adopting different approaches to management in relation to the diversity of people and staff encountered in any workplace.
