All For One - The Meerkat Way

Beautifully filmed and packed with insight on everything from teamwork and inter-dependence to the safety instinct, the importance of communication and continuous improvement.

This comprehensive package is designed to change or reawaken the way we feel about safety and help inspire a cultural step change towards an interdependent safety culture.

As a species, Meerkats should never have survived at all. They're tiny vulnerable creatures that live in an incredibly hostile environment full of savage predators. The fact they do thrive is down to a single extraordinary talent: their ability to cooperate.

All for One - The Meerkat Way is a complete training package, including three video parts on the DVD and a CD-Rom which contains a PowerPoint presentation, a Support Booklet and a Meerkat Poster in PDF format.

Piper Alpha Training Package (Spiral to Disaster)
Piper AlphaThe tragic event of Piper Alpha occurred when this massive oil platform in the North Sea succumbed to explosion and fire, resulting in the loss of 167 lives. This video program unravels the sequence of events that in the course of one critical hour lead to the disaster. This disaster could have been, if not totally adverted, dramatically changed in course without the horrible loss of human life.

The program considers a whole range of OH&S issues:-

  • It considers safety design issues on the platform - the factors of fire walls and blast walls.
  • Permit to Work procedures - the whereabouts of the second Permit to Work and its consequence.
  • Automatic Fire Deluge Pumps and the procedure on Piper Alpha compared to other oil platforms.
  • The adequacy of emergency procedures on Piper Alpha.
  • The role of the purposely built rescue vessel and why it failed in its rescue attempt.
  • The decision making process of management concerning production output versus safety considerations.

The program is a gripping drama/documentary that recreates the three hours of the tragedy. It provides the basis of discussion, analysis and training in a variety of OH&S areas. These include Risk Assessment, Permit to Work, Emergency Procedures, Safety Design and more.

Remember Charlie
Remember CharlieThe Charlie Morecraft story has become a phenomenon in the OH&S world. It tells of Charlie's journey from death's door, following a refinery explosion, to his position as the world's leading presenter on why we all should follow safety procedures precisely. The shortcut he took from standard procedures resulted in Charlie being burned over 50% of his body, five years in hospital, the loss of his family, and the loss of everything he treasured.

Not just a title but a call to action, Remember Charlie captures the audience with a common language ("Accidents don't happen to me. Accidents happen to someone else.") With the audience on the edge of their seats, Charlie drives home the importance of following safety procedures. Everyone wakes-up to the high cost of an accident, not only to themselves, but to their family. Seldom are people confronted by real consequences of an abuse in safety practices. If you and your employees "Remember Charlie", you'll remember to follow safety procedures.
