Do It Yourself!

bankWhether you need us to work as your marketing department or give you the advice and tools to do it yourself, we provide no-nonsense solutions to solve your in-house marketing department challenges.

The "challenge" for the majority of businesses implementing a marketing, advertising and/or public relations campaign is managing the day-to-day process prior to launching the campaign.  This includes planning and strategy, concept development, copywriting, design and production, and last but not least the timeline to ensure that the project launches on time and on budget.  We can help you with the necessary tools that can make this process more manageable for your in-house marketing team.

We are happy to send you a questionnaire to help guide you through this process.  Just email me your request to  jill@jtdesign.com

Why We Don't Do Spec Work

bankIt's reasonable that a company looking for a new advertising agency would want to see what it's going to get beforehand. Unfortunately, a spec campaign has little chance of moving your business forward.  Why?  Because a spec campaign is typically developed with only the most dangerous and minimal input:  the preconceived notions, biases and surface knowledge of the team creating the work.  A pitch process doesn't provide enough time or resources to enable the agency to do the appropriate amount of consumer-insight work.  The strategy will be developed without your input.  The best client-agency relationships are collaborative partnerships, where strategies are developed together.  Besides, you should ask yourself why an agency would give away creative work since that devalues the most important thing it has to sell:  its ideas.
Empowering Women Through Targeted Branding-A Case Study

CWBR folder coverThe Center for Women's Business Research (CWBR) turns research into information-
the most up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge about one of the most dynamic and fastest growing sectors of the U.S. economy--the 10.4 million businesses owned by women.  When CWBR needed a brand for their research initiative to identify the barriers to business growth faced by women business owners of color they turned to us.  The brand was designed to invite female business owners to participate in a national research forum to help identify obstacles to business growth and what it takes to overcome these obstacles at the personal, community and national levels.
