Since you are on my email list, you have made the choice for biological dentistry to one degree or another. I want to make sure that as many people as possible understand the importance of biological dentistry, so I want to cover the basics of the subject in a simple email that you can use to help others understand what you probably already know.
First, what does it mean when we say biological dentistry? By itself, the word biological means "of, relating to, caused by or affecting life or living organisms." Convention dentistry uses a variety of materials and procedures in the course of dental treatment that may or may not be all that great for the health of your living organism - your body!
Biological dentistry pays careful attention to the science related to each substance or procedure used on a patient. Has this material been found to be toxic to human bodies? Has this procedure turned out to cause more problems than it solves?
Take a look at the dental work in the picture above. There's plenty of metal in these teeth. Biological dentistry avoids the use of any metals in the mouth, whether it's amalgams or metal components for bridges or metal crowns.
Note the metal backing just visible on the crowns in the front of the mouth. These surfaces are most likely a stainless steel-nickel mix. Nickel has been shown to be a carcinogen (cancer-causing substance) when used in the body. Metals used in dental work can create a toxic situation in the body or may disrupt the tiny electrical forces that are present in every cell of your body.
Here's some before and after images that show how biological dentistry replaces metal with composite fillings. Every time I place dental material in the mouth, I make sure that it is as compatible as possible with that patient's body. If you've ever had muscle testing in a doctor's office, then you know how we determine this bio-compatibility.
What Conventional Dentistry Can Leave Behind
and Why it Can Create Problems
Some procedures, like root canals or extractions, can leave behind infected tissue or debris that should have been removed. Like any other dead or dying tissue that stays in the body when it should be removed, it can act as a poison. Some people have had stubborn health conditions that just would not disappear until this dead or dying tissue was found and removed.
The sad thing is that many people suffer when they don't need to, just because they don't know how the situations in their mouths could drag down their overall health.
I would not want you to suffer if there was a way I could help you recover your health, or help your loved one. Since 1986, I've been studying ways to make dentistry as non-toxic as possible. I've also learned many ways to remedy problems that may have been caused by earlier dental procedures. For example, I've found that treating old root canals with ozone can turn a toxic tooth into a non-toxic one for many people. I use kinesiology to test my patients for the best anesthetics or dental materials to be used so they don't encounter allergic reactions.
There are two important points I want to make:
If you are suffering from health problems, don't overlook your teeth as a possible source of the problem. Regaining your health might mean eliminating every stressor present, whether dental or chiropractic or nutritional.
The second point is this: don't wait until you have a health problem to eliminator stressors from your dental health. Acting pro-actively to eliminate metals in your mouth, have root canals treated with ozone, and ensure there's no toxic tissue remaining behind in your jaws can all contribute to a long and healthy future for you and your loved ones.
If you'd like to know exactly what we can do for you - especially if you are suffering from health problems for which it is hard to find the source - call my office and schedule a comprehensive examination. That should enable both of us to discover what benefits you might receive from Biological Dentistry.
