Yoga celebrating the Sweetness of Life

When the mind is at peace,
the world too is at peace.
Nothing real, nothing absent.
Not holding on to reality,
not getting stuck in the void,
you are neither holy or wise, just
an ordinary fellow who has completed his work.

peaceToday I commit to PEACE.

1. Commit to more consciously choosing to express peace in your thoughts, words and action.  As you prepare to go to sleep, review your words and actions and see if you added to peace today.  If you recognize that in your need to defend your self-importance, you contributed to turbulence in some way, make a commitment to contribute to peace tomorrow.   Be loving and gentle with yourself and you'll be better able to express peace to the people in your life.  As a consequence you'll find yourself judging, worrying and controlling less, loving and enjoying more.

2.  You cannot wait for your circumstances to become peaceful before committing to peace.  Inner peace is not dependent upon everyone around you being gentle, kind and compassionate.  The peace that passes understanding must come from within.  Access this peace through meditation.  Take time on a daily basis to quiet your mind and calm your body and then radiate peace to your environment through your presence.

3. The mentality of war requires there to be a clear seperation between us and them, friend and foe, good and evil, right and wrong.  Peace seeks unity. Life is a fantastic game of hide-and-seek with the Divine.  Out of unity we create our individuality and then spend our lives seeking to reestablish our original wholeness.
Yoga is a celebration of our unity and the fullest, loving expression of our individuality.  Yoga is peace.
