Yoga celebrating the Sweetness of Life
There's a moon in my body,
but I can't see it!
A moon and a sun.
A drum never touched by hands,
beating, and I can't hear it!

As long as a human being worries about when he will die,
and what he has that is his,
all of his works are zero.
When affection for the I-creature
and what it owns is dead,
then the work of the Teacher is over.

The purpose of labor is to learn;
when you know it, the labor is over.
The apple blossom exists to create fruit; when that
comes, the petal falls.

The musk is inside the deer,
but the deer does not
look for it:
it wanders around looking for grass.

sunsetToday I commit to WHOLENESS.

1.  Spirituality calls us to reconcile opposite values, and there is no more fundamental duality than masculine and feminine.  Embracing our wholeness means stepping into a continuous dance between male and female energies.  Feminine Shakti is the creative power of love and light.  Masculine Shiva is pure, detached consciousness. Getting to know the rich and diverse masculine and feminine energies that reside within you deepens your understanding, awakens your intrinsic power and expands your compassion.

2.  Nurture your inner child.   If you allow your inner child to play, you will spontaneously relate to the world with enthusiasm and you can heal the innocent being that resides within you.  Make a commitment to honor the sweetness and childlikeness that resides in your heart, regardless of your chronological ages.  Look for opportunities to express it to your family and friends and to yourself.  Treat people with whom you are most intimate as you would treat an innocent child.  Anticipate nothing less in return from the closest people in your life.

3. Nurture your inner sage, accessing the wisdom of the ages.  Close your eyes, take several slow deep breaths, and envision yourself in a beautiful, sacred place.  The air is pure, the sun is shining and a sense of purity, safety and peace pervades the environment.  Now imagine your serene, wise being sitting before you beneath a majestic tree.  Looking into his or her eyes, you feel unconditional love and compassion.  Sit with your inner sage and ask for wisdom and an expanded perspective on any issue you are facing in your life.  Through your inner sage, you can access the guidance you are seeking and make choices consistent with your highest values.
