Yoga celebrating the Sweetness of Life
Say not, "I have found the truth," but rather, "I have found a truth."
Say not, "I have found the path of the soul." Say rather, "I have met the soul walking upon my path."
For the soul walks upon all paths.
The soul walks not upon a line, neither does it grow like a reed.
The soul unfolds itself like a lotus of countless petals.   -Kahlil Gibran

pigeonToday I commit to AUTHENTICITY.

1.  Authenticity is an alignment between your beliefs, your desires and your choices in the world.  Identify habits of behaviour that do not reflect your core values and consciously replace them with choices that do.

2. The word authenticity is derived from the Latin authenticus, meaning coming from the real author.  Being authentic means assuming the responsibility for writing the story of your life. Many people find themselves playing a character in their real-life drama, but do not recall consciously auditioning for the role.  Ask yourself how you would like to see the next chapter of your life unfold and take steps in alignment with that vision.

3. Authenticity does not demand perfection, for if it did there would be no authentic people living on earth.  Human beings embody contradictory values.  Authenticity requires that you embrace your incongruities and ambiguities while doing your best to make choices that reflect your core values.  When your mind is quiet, you can more clearly hear your inner voice calling you home to a place of unshakable authenticity.   Take time to sit in stillness today.
