TransforMED Convenes National Thought Leaders in Washington, DC
| On October 6th, 2010, Dr. William Soper, the Chairman of TransforMED's Board of Managers kicked off a pivotal Healthcare Advisory meeting at the Cosmos Club in Washington, DC. The participants included recognized thought leaders from the private sector, the federal government, patient representatives, state government experts, and healthcare industry stakeholders. This Healthcare Advisory Committee was convened to address how TransforMED could best act as a catalyst for promoting the interests of Primary Care in the shifting and uncertain healthcare landscape. New Faces at TransforMED
| Laura C. Knobel, MD, FAAFP has joined TransforMED Board of Managers. Dr. Knobel has been a practicing family physician for more than 19 years. Since 2005, she has owned and operated a solo family medicine practice in Walpole, Massachusetts, where she was raised. Knobel was previously employed by Foxboro Center for Women's and Family Health and Foxboro Area Health Center in Foxboro, MA. She also owned and operated Walpole Family Practice, P.C. from 1992 to 2001. Read Dr. Knobel's bio
TransforMED has also added two new Practice Enhancement Facilitators -- Colleen Stack and Noelle King-Whitlow -- as well as two new Project Managers to support the work of the PEFs -- Vince Shisler and Anthony Murdock.
