The first 75 businesses through the door get the opportunity to be promoted at the luncheon. This will be a fun luncheon where we will play Chamber Business Bingo and share information about the Buy Blue Springs program and how all Chamber member businesses can participate.

Luncheon Sponsorships
The Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce is beginning to schedule sponsorship opportunities for the 2010 monthly luncheons. If you are interested in sponsoring one please contact Pat at 229-8558 or plarkin@bluespringschamber.com.
Sponsorship of a luncheon is $200 and allows your business the opportunity to place promotional literature on the tables and make a 5 minute presentation to the luncheon attendees. Sponsorship is a great way to promote your business.

Legislators have been asked to give us an update about what they think the major issues will be this session and how they will affect business.
Future sessions are scheduled for February 12, 7:30 a.m., March 5th, 7:30 a.m., April 2nd, 7:30 a.m. and May 20th, noon.

The Missouri Chamber of Commerce & Industry continues to update their website with the resources businesses need to better understand the proposal in congress on health care. Feel free to access this link to keep informed.

Board Of Directors Activity
The Board of Directors met on November 12th and:
- Reviewed new members and renewals and continued to discuss ways to offer benefits to businesses that are members.
- Started discussions about the 2010 budget. A preliminary budget will be presented to the Board at the December meeting.
- Discussed preliminary plans for the 2010 Fall Fun Festival after a productive meeting with Downtown merchants.
- Approved the 2010 Guiding Legislative Principles for the Chamber. These will be presented to Legislators on December 11th.
Your Board is working for you to fulfill the mission of the Chamber. The mission of the Chamber is to promote, develop and facilitate a strong economic environment in which the business community can grow and proposer.
