U.S. Congressman Sam Graves will help us kick off this exciting new program of the Chamber. TGIF programs, the Government in Focus, will start this month and continue in October.
This program will feature Congressman Graves who will update Chamber members about what is happening in Congress and with the House Small Business Committee. John Gonzales with the US Chamber will present the Spirit of Enterprise award on behalf of the US Chamber to Congressman Graves.

The Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce recently started a new group as a part of one of the leading social media websites for business networking, LinkedIn.Com. We hope this will be an added communications business tool for our members.
Part of membership in the Chamber is the opportunity to make connections, not the least of which is the new LinkedIn group, Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce. The sign-up process is simple and free.
If you are already using LinkedIn:
- Login to your LinkedIn account
- At the top of the network updates page, click on "Search Groups" and search for Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce
- Click on "Join this group"
- Once membership is verified, you are a part of the group

| Fall Fun Festival Volunteer Opportunity |

We are in need of volunteers for the Festival, Parade and the Beer Garden

Per the bylaws of the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce a nominating committee was appointed by the Board and met to nominate the following members to serve a three year term on the Board of Directors:

John Beaudoin-Blue Springs Journal
Tanya Mitchell-Fike Corporation
Any additional filings for nominees should be presented to Secretary Jennifer Splittorff in care of the Chamber office, 1000 W Main Street, Blue Springs, MO 64015. Voting will be by acclimation at the luncheon scheduled for September 24th, 11:30 a.m., at the Adams Pointe Conference Center. In the advent of more nominations presented to the Secretary or coming from the floor on or before September 24th, the nominees who receive the highest number of votes shall be declared elected. | | |
