The sponsor this month is Christine's Salon at 7 & Main. 
 
This luncheon will feature an update about the Missouri Innovation Park and information about "
Students In Free Enterprise" (SIFE).  SIFE brings together a diverse network of university students, academic professionals and industry leaders around the shared mission of creating a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business. SIFE students leverage their classroom experience, the expertise of their faculty advisor and business advisory board, and the resources of their university to develop projects that empower people to live better lives.  Their projects address a variety of topics, such as market economics, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, personal success skills, environmental sustainability and business ethics. 
 
The cost  to attend this luncheon is $18 per person.  Please make your reservation by August 17th.
 
 Payment may be made prior to the luncheon, online or at the door.

Fall Fun Festival

We are in need of volunteers for the Festival, Parade and the Beer Garden

For our new members who have not worked the Festival, it is lots of fun and a great way to meet fellow Chamber members.
 
TGIF - The Government In Focus

U.S. Congressman Sam Graves will help us kick off this exciting new program of the Chamber.  TGIF programs, the Government in Focus, will start this month and continue in October. 
 
This program will feature Congressman Graves who will update Chamber members about what is happening in Congress and with the House Small Business Committee.  John Gonzales with the US Chamber will present the Spirit of Enterprise award on behalf of the US Chamber to Congressman Graves.
 
 
Cost:  $15 per person
This event is for Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce members.

Texas Hold'em - August 23rd, Side Pockets, 2:00 pm. Your donation of $30.00 will benefit St. Mary's Medical Center's "Calling to Care" campaign.  St Mary's is a non-profit hospital that serves our community.
