The Connectors have two primary goals. One goal of the
Connectors is to recruit new members to the Chamber and help them successfully connect with other members. Another goal is to retain existing member of the Chamber by connecting them to each other in a way that promotes doing business with fellow Chamber members.

This seminar is presented by Christie Gillespie of Marketing Strategies and will review how to use Linked In as a business tool. There is no fee for Chamber members to attend. Cost for non-members is $50. Participants are encouraged, but not required to bring laptops. The session will last until 5 p.m. and then a Happy Hour with a cash bar will follow. Please make a reservation for this event.

| Membership Luncheon - August 20th, Adams Pointe Conference Center, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The sponsor this month is Christine's Salon at 7 & Main. This luncheon will feature an update about the Missouri Innovation Park and information about "Students In Free Enterprise" (SIFE). SIFE brings together a diverse network of university students, academic professionals and industry leaders around the shared mission of creating a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business. SIFE students leverage their classroom experience, the expertise of their faculty advisor and business advisory board, and the resources of their university to develop projects that empower people to live better lives. Their projects address a variety of topics, such as market economics, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, personal success skills, environmental sustainability and business ethics. The cost to attend this luncheon is $18 per person. Please make your reservation by August 17th.

Star Teacher & Customer Appreciation Event- August 8th, Office Depot, 450 NW 7 Hwy, Blue Springs. The Teacher Appreciation events are from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with a free breakfast and prizes. The Customer Appreciation events are from 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. There will be door prizes and vendors from many Blue Springs businesses. Don't forget to shop Blue Springs on this Tax Free weekend.
