This is the first meeting of this Task Force. The goal of this group is to discuss a "Buy Local" program as a part of the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. Ribbon Cutting and Open House - Tuesday August 4th, 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm. Bott Insurance and SCC Mortgage,1500 NW Mock, Blue Springs 64015. The ribbon cutting will be at 4:45 pm.
Lunch & Learn - Tuesday August 4th, 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, St. Mary's Medical Center Education Room, The topic this month will be "Increasing Productivity through People Power", Cost: $10 per person

Linked In 101 - Wednesday, August 12th, 4 p.m., Side Pockets, 1237 S 7 Highway, Blue Springs, MO 64014. This seminar will review how to use Linked In as a business tool. There is no fee for Chamber members to attend. Cost for non-members is $50. Participants are encouraged, but not required to bring laptops. The session will last until 5 p.m. and then a Happy Hour with a cash bar will follow. Please make a reservation for this event.

Blue Springs Car Cruise Night - August 1, 5:00 pm to dusk, Downtown Blue Springs, West Main St. between 10th and 12th Streets
Concert in the Park, August 2nd, Rotary Park, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Bryan Gentry Band will be performing at this free concert.
National Night Out Against Crime - August 4th, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Downtown Blue Springs. Enjoy free food, game booths, raffle prizes and live entertainment.
Bowling Challenge - August 11th, Lunar Bowl, 6:00 - 10:30 pm. This is a fundraiser for Blue Springs Economic Development Corporation and Blue Springs Education Foundation. For more information email Cindy Oddo at coddo@wrisinger-king.com
Texas Hold'em - August 23rd, Side Pockets, 2:00 pm. Your donation of $30.00 will benefit St. Mary's Medical Center's "Calling to Care" campaign. St Mary's is a non-profit hospital that serves our community. |
