Absent:    Donna Best, David Chinnery and Robin Schluter.
 
Kyle Jones called the meeting to order.
A motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Robert Andrew with a second from Gina Goodwin.  Motion carried.
 
Exec Board Meeting Report: Jennifer Splittorff distributed minutes of the exec meeting.  Following discussion Robert Andrew made a motion to move ahead with background checks on both candidates for Director.  Bill Fickle made the 2nd.  Motion carried.  Todd Pelham made a motion to allow Dena McLean, Interim Director, to vote as a board member for the Director's position.  Robert Andrew made the second.  Motion carried.
 
Financial Report:  Angela Rodewald presented the December financials for approval.  Robert Andrew made a motion to approve the December financials.  A second was made by Jennifer Splittorff.  Motion carried.  The January financials were presented for review. 
 
Community Development:  Carolyn Marsh reported that the committee would be meeting with the banquet committee on February 24th to discuss the outcome of the 2009 Banquet.  Also, the committee met with Chris VanCamp to talk about a Youth Internship through their Life 101 Program.
 
Business Support:  The EDC, City and Chamber will work to put together a joint publication.  Following discussion it was decided that the Business Support Committee would work to bring forth a recommendation on protocol to speak to issues.
Member Services:  Two seminars have been scheduled for April 16th.  It will be a lunch & learn session given by the Blue Springs Police Department on Business Theft and Identity Theft.
 
Old Business:   Reminder to Board Members to sign their commitment to serve papers.
