Kyle Jones called the meeting to order.
A motion to approve the consent agenda with a change in the December minutes to include David Chinnery as present was made by Bill Fickle with a second from Angela Rodewald.  Motion carried.
 
Exec Board Meeting Report: Jennifer Splittorff distributed minutes of the exec meeting.  Kyle Jones discussed the role of the exec committee.
Endorsement Protocol:  Following a discussion regarding endorsement protocol, Robert Andrew made a motion to endorse the Blue Springs School District Bond Issue.  A second was made by Ryan Fry.  Motion carried
 
Financial Report:  Angela Rodewald presented the November financials for approval.  Bill Fickle made a motion to approve the November financials.  A second was made by Carolyn Marsh.  Motion carried.  The December financials were presented for review.  Angela reported that she will meet with the Finance Overview Committee each month.  Angela Rodewald made a motion to pay $5,000 toward the building loan.  Robert Andrew made the second.  Motion carried.
Financials will be submitted in accrual and cash basis each month to the board.
 
Job Search Update:  It was reported that the search committee will be interviewing seven candidates for the position of executive director on January 14th.
 
Community Development:  Carolyn Marsh reported that the committee would be meeting with Chris Van Camp from Valley View High School to discuss options on a Youth Lead Class.  Banquet is moving forward.
 
Business Support:  David Christian reported the committee is moving forward with a quarterly meeting of Eastern Jackson County businesses, legislators, utilities, city and economic development to share ideas and concerns of business.
 
Member Services:  Jenifer Witzke reported that the committee is looking at the possibilities of grants to cover funding business seminars for members.  They plan to partner with Connectors to improve member services.
 
Old Business:   Reminder to Board Members to sign up for City Council meeting attendance.  Kyle Jones gave an update on roofing bids.
