Celebrate Gravatt in February!

The Diocese of Upper South Carolina passed a resolution designating February as a month to share Gravatt's ministry, and each church in the Diocese is requested to select one or more Sundays to spotlight Gravatt. To that end, we ask you to take a moment to tell a friend, neighbor, or even a stranger what Gravatt has meant to you.

Gravatt has affected countless campers, guests, and staff members, each in unique ways. Whether you grew up coming to Gravatt as a camper or visited as an adult with your church group or business, Gravatt means sanctuary. By telling your story, you can help another find sanctuary with us.

fishing_tournament Get ready for Bassmasters

Join us on April 17, 2011 for fun, fellowship, and fishing at the 2nd Annual Gravatt Bassmasters Fishing Tournament. Proceeds from this tournament will benefit camper scholarships and the Gravatt Environmental Education Program.

This catch and release tournament is family friendly so take this opportunity to share the outdoors with youth you care about. Adults only teams welcome too. Your two-person team can choose to fish from the bank, from a Gravatt canoe, or you may bring your own boat (trolling motors only). Awards will given to the overall team winner, individual overall winner, biggest fish, and smallest fish. The tournament will begin at 9 am with registration and will conclude with an afternoon cookout. Registration fees range from $40 to $80 per team and include lunch, prizes, and t-shirts. Last year every participant left with a prize! Accommodations are available for those wishing to spend the night.

For more information or to register, call 803.648.1817 or visit our website. Keep up to date with tournament news on the GEEP Facebook page.

Register for Summer Camp Now  camper_and_counselor
Hard to believe it's time to plan for summer already. Camp Gravatt summer registration is underway, and spots are filling fast. We have already closed two sessions for girls.

Camp Gravatt offers boys and girls from first through twelfth grade a Christian-centered, community-based summer camp experience, focused on demonstrating God's unconditional love to every camper. Family camp sessions are also available.

The Camp Gravatt program and activities vary by session, depending upon each age group, and include most of the traditional things associated with camp--archery, arts and crafts, canoeing, nature, time to play and swim in the lake, challenge course events, campfires, songs, skits, as well as time for worshipping and developing camp community.

Don't delay. Reserve your space today. Learn more.
