Inspection Officer - Water Construction
City of Rockford Public Works, seeks
individual to review and approve plans for
the extension of water mains in the City, and
approve proposed site and subdivision plans
for water utility purposes.
Responsible for
supervising the construction of new water
mains and facilities; the revision and
editing of water plat drawings; the updating,
revision, and maintenance of water utility
maps; the locating and marking of water
mains, service lines, and storm sewer lines
prior to construction. Prepares cost
estimates for water main extensions and
service installations.
Associates
Degree in
Engineering Technology, Construction Science
or related field with five years experience
in utility construction or municipal
engineering and two years of supervisory
experience.
Possession of an
Illinois Public
Water Operator Certificate, Class D.
Possession of valid Illinois Driver's

Illinois is seeking a full-time Water
Treatment Plant
Operator. The person hired for this position
will be involved in the operation,
maintenance and control
of a computerized 4.5 MGD surface water
treatment plant. ** Req: At a minimum, the
individual hired
for this position must have an IEPA Class C
Potable Water License, or be able to obtain
the same
within one year from employment. Applicant
must live within a fifteen (15) mile radius
of the water
plant in Zion. Applicant must have valid
Illinois or Wisconsin driver s license. **
Experience in the
water industry a plus. ** Computer knowledge
preferred ** Salary correlates with
experience and
