STREETS & WATER PRODUCTION
MAINTENANCE WORKER II POSITIONS
Accepting applications from qualified
applicants for two positions in the Village
Services Department.
Streets - Must have experience in clearing
roads, snow plowing and ice control;
maintaining roadways, right-of-ways, street
signs, curbs, and sidewalks; performing
asphalt and concrete repairs. Position
requires the ability to safely drive light to
heavy-duty trucks and operate various pieces
of equipment.
Water Production - Must have experience
performing water meter installations, cross
connection control inspections, water
turn-ons/offs, meter reads, pump station
inspections, operating a SCADA system,
aptitude to learn utility billing software.
Ability to interact with
customers/contractors. Position assists with
snow & ice control operations.
Positions require a HS diploma or equivalent,
vocational/technical training in the
construction trades or related field with two
to three years of public works/utility
maintenance, construction and repair
experience, or any equivalent combination of
education, training, and experience; valid IL
Driver's License with the ability to obtain a
minimum class "B" Commercial DL with tanker
endorsement within six months of employment;
performance of physical labor and work in
adverse weather conditions and confined
spaces; and willingness to cross-train for
"job rotation" assignments within other
Division's Maintenance Worker II operations.
Positions may require overtime work and work
on holidays and weekends.
Starting pay $21.57 per hour.

APPLICANTS WANTED
FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT AT
The City of Nashville is accepting
applications for a responsible person to work
fulltime at the Nashville Water Treatment Plant.
This position will involve shift work, along
with working week-ends and Holidays.
Applicant is required to obtain an I.E.P.A.
Class C License within 30 months from date of
employment. Further an I.E.P.A. Class A
License must be obtained within 4 years from
date of employment. License must remain current.

The starting wage is to be determined.
Employee would be covered under a Major
Medical Health Plan as offered by the City.
The City of Nashville is a member of Illinois
Municipal Retirement Fund.
Other requirements include: Must comply with
the City residence ordinance.
Education: High School Graduate or
Equivalent. Successful Applicant should have
basic computer skills. Applicants should
have the ability to lift 75 lbs. Applicant
must pass a full face respirator fit test and
continue to pass annual exams related to
respirator safety.
Successful applicant must pass a
pre-employment physical and drug test.
Successful applicant will be subject to
random employment drug and alcohol testing
for illegal use.

CIVIL OR ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER
The Fox River Water Reclamation District is
seeking an engineer having a BS or MS in
Civil or Environmental engineering. A
Professional Engineering license, or
continuing on track to obtain one is a
requirement of this position. The successful
applicant will have interest and experience
related to the construction of water and
wastewater projects. Applicants should also
have experience in, and proficiency at,
technical writing and review of
specifications of equipment and services for
the water or wastewater industry. Additional
experience beyond a BS is preferred.
Employment will start as soon as possible,
but accommodations for the proper candidate
can be made. Compensation will be competitive
and consistent with experience. Excellent

The Fox River Water Reclamation District has
a proud 85 year history of protecting the
public health and the environment by
providing sewage treatment to 160,000 people
in Elgin, South Elgin, West Dundee, and parts
of several neighboring communities in
northeastern Illinois. The District is
experiencing rapid growth and anticipates
spending $50 million in numerous capital
projects over the next five years. The
District operates three wastewater treatment
plants, eleven pump stations, and several
miles of interceptor sewers. The combined
capacity of the treatment plants is 38
million gallons per day. In addition, we own
and operate one drinking water plant and the
local sewers serving 1,000 people in
unincorporated Kane County.
