Free, All Are Welcome
Celebrate Love and Poetry on April 28 at the Newburgh Library!
He Said/ She Said is a program of love, anti-love, lust-filled, and moralizing poems in honor of National Poetry Month.
Originally conceived by Barbara Adams and performed by MMSC in 2002, this program is an updated version directed by Bob Miller. The two readers are William Connors, (HE), &Barbara Adams, (SHE).
Come hear what HE and SHE have to say to each other and about each other, and about love in general, from joy to pain, from lust to loss, and the "can't live with him/her; can't live without him/her," by some of the world's greatest poets, from the Bible, Shakespeare, Emily Dickinson, Robert Graves, Robert Burns, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Galway Kinnell Sappho and more.

by Theresa Rebeck A masterpiece of comic clockwork, raucously funny! The Wall Street Journal
A smash hit Off-Broadway, The Understudy is the latest comedy from one of the most produced female playwrights in America. When a Hollywood action star lands a prestigious role in Franz Kafka's newly discovered play on Broadway, things couldn't be better...until he meets his understudy. Spirited and laugh-out-loud funny, The Understudy places the backstage friction of a frenzied rehearsal center stage with vivacious satire and Kafkaesque theatrics. Co-sponsored by Pileggi Construction, Chronogram Magazine and Hudson Real American Whiskeys. Directed by Christine Crawfis Featuring Janet Nurre, Michael Frohnhoefer & Gerry Brooks as The Understudy. April 29 & 30 Unison Arts SAVE A SEAT!
