Greetings!

Next stop on our 2011 MMSC Encore Series itinerary is Glen Berger's eloquent, humorous and  compelling  Underneath the Lintel.

A librarian discovers a book 113 years overdue and sets out to collect the fine of his career. But the search for the mysterious offender leads him on a continent-hopping journey of cosmic proportions.

Time Out New York called it "Literate and enchanting, an existential detective story."

Charlotte's Post and Courier says "...stunningly funny, moving and should be required viewing for every actor, techie, author, director and theater lover in the city."

With Rich Hack as the librarian in Glen Berger's madly literate one-man show, this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance. Join us on February 11 & 12. And bring a friend.

Encore #3

Alfred Stieglitz Loves O'Keeffe

by Lanie Robertson

Directed by Robert Miller

A volatile love story.

Featuring Bruce Pileggi as Alfred Stieglitz and

Christine Crawfis as Georgia O'Keeffe

Before Alfred Stieglitz and Georgia O'Keeffe were married in 1924, they had already forged one of the great artistic partnerships in American history. O'Keeffe was foremost among the American modernist painters Stieglitz championed; she was also his muse and subject of some of his most captivating, haunting, and sought after images, namely the "O'Keeffe Portrait."

The dialogue between Stieglitz and Georgia O'Keeffe (1887-1986)-and between their photography and painting-began in 1917. Their artistic and personal collaboration remained a source of inspiration and unity for both of these great American artists until the end of Stieglitz's life, and resulted in each creating what O'Keeffe described as a body of "clear and bright and wonderful work."

Directed by Robert G. Miller, MMSC's production of Alfred Stieglitz Loves O'Keeffe by Lanie Robertson has delighted audiences since it was first performed in 1998. Bruce Pileggi and Christine Crawfis will once again recreate their roles as Alfred Stieglitz and Georgia O'Keeffe. Don't miss it.
