Nina & Kimberly Together, Again.

Greetings!
It's finally summer. Are all of your tomato plants in the ground? Is your grill fired up and ready for action? Well then, you must be in the mood to do a little traveling? Well, join the good folks here at MMSC as we take off for some pretty wacky destinations. Well-known local playwright (and good friend), Nina Shengold, will be our tour guide. We couldn't be in crazier hands and we are delighted.
Think about this. What do a Mexican restaurant, a bird feeder & farm-market stand in upstate NY and the city of Leningrad have in common? Well, perhaps many things, but in this case they are among the settings for Page & Stage, our evening dedicated to the work of Nina Shengold. Want to spend an evening laughing? Want to see what life would be like as one of the Seven Deadly Sins? Want to be that proverbial "mouse in the corner" on a blind double-date? Join us for Page & Stage.
And just when you thought we were going to settle down and be serious, we present the amazingly zany Kimberly Akimbo by David Lindsay-Abaire. It will break your heart while you are laughing so hard your sides will split.
We are bringing our 15th Anniversary Season to a close with these two funny and fantastic weekends. Join us as we conclude our celebration of 15 years of MMSC! Share our magic. Bring a friend.
Sincerely,
Robert Miller, Producing Director

Kimberly Akimbo by David Lindsay-Abaire

A sidesplitting comedy from one of the wackiest playwrights in the business, David Lindsay-Abaire (author of Fuddy Meers, the Pulitzer Prize-winner Rabbit Hole and Wonder of the World ).
Set in the wilds of suburban New Jersey, this is a hilarious and heartwarming
play about a teenager with a rare condition causing her body to age faster than
it should. When she and her family flee Secaucus under dubious circumstances,
Kimberly is forced to reevaluate her life while contending with a hypochondriac
mother, a rarely sober father, a scam-artist aunt, her own mortality and, most
terrifying of all, the possibility of first love.
Sponsored by Mayo Consulting
Directed by Christine Crawfis.
Featuring Michael Frohnhoefer, Janet Nurre, Elizabeth F.
Barrows, Kai Beck, and Barbara McMahon Scanlan.
