June 19 & 20  Kimberly Akimbo.
by David Lindsay-Abaire

Set in the wilds of suburban New Jersey, this is a hilarious play about a teenager with a rare condition causing her body to age faster than it should. When she and her family flee Secaucus under dubious circumstances, Kimberly is forced to reevaluate her life while contending with a hypochondriac mother, a rarely sober father, a scam-artist aunt, her own mortality and, most terrifying of all, the possibility of first love.

The Year of Magical Thinking

a play by Joan Didion

"An indelible portrait of loss and grief . . . a haunting portrait of a four-decade-long marriage"  The New York Times

Co-sponsored by Mayo Consulting

Directed by Michael Frohnhoefer
Featuring Christine Crawfis

An inspiring account of one woman's journey, The Year of Magical Thinking is Joan Didion's exquisite stage adaptation of her Pulitzer prize-nominated memoir.

Brimming with clarity, honesty and wit, the play chronicles the year Didion spent imagining her husband's return after witnessing him die suddenly of a heart attack.

This one-woman play, rich with both humor and pathos, exposes the beauty and terror that we all find in the transience of life, and celebrates the power of the imagination.
