1975. Eppie Lederer has a big problem. Where can she turn for advice? Ann Landers, of course. But Eppie is Ann.

Filled with bon bons, bon mots, bubble baths and Chanel No. 5, this warm and engaging one-woman show brings us an Ann Landers we've never seen before-a "lady with all the answers" coping with a problem that doesn't have an easy solution.

Featuring Christine Crawfis as Eppie Lederer.
(If you miss this show, "twenty lashes with a wet noodle" for you!)

Marvelous May.
Greetings!

Here's a quiz. How many  "May is National  _______ (fill in the blank) Month" titles do you know?

For example, did you know that May is National Correct Posture Month? What about May as National Asparagus Month or National Artisan Gelato Month (no kidding!)?

What about National Good Car Keeping Month, National Strawberry Month, National Chocolate Custard Month, Foot Health Month, National High Blood Pressure Month or perhaps National Hamburger Month?

And then there's National Salad Month, National Salsa Month or Better Sleep Month. Or National Barbecue Month, National Egg Month or Older Americans Month.

Here's our personal favorite and our raison d'être - May is National Share A Story Month. And that's just what we had in mind. Read on.

The Ideal Orator 1904

Lecturer
May 24
@ St. Andrew's Church

Catherine CattabianiAn evening of elocution, recitations profound & comical,  patriotic & historical.

Conceived by Catherine Cattabiani

One of the most pleasing and rational forms of entertainment is in those gatherings at which selections from literature are recited, dialogs and tableaux presented. They not only afford enjoyable entertainment, but are instructive and educative as well, inculcating and developing sound patriotism, and teaching in the most pleasant way the great moral lessons of life.

So begins the introduction to The Ideal Orator, A Modern Book of Elocution Readings Recitations Dialogues and Plays, written in 1904. This book, on loan from Don and Mary Kent of Hurley, was written when Teddy Roosevelt was President, women did not have the vote, and Enrico Caruso was playing the Met. You are cordially invited to join Catherine Cattabiani and Rena Blumenthal as they share some of these "modern" selections for a most "pleasing and rational" evening of entertainment.

Why not start now to revise your work schedule and take some time off to bring a friend to an MMSC performance. We'd love to see you.

Hope to see you on May 24th for The Ideal Orator!

Sincerely,
