2-For-2 @ MMH
Drum Roll, please.
On Saturday, January 26, during intermission for Tuesdays With Morrie, we drew the name of Barbara Holt who is the winner of a two-night stay for two at beautiful Mohonk Mountain House. She was present in the audience that night and couldn't have been happier. Congratulations! Second prize was the Last Six Jars of NFJ on the Face of the Earth (that's Nan's Fancy Jam) and the winner was Puja Thomson. She picked up her prize and was thrilled to be the owner of that much NFJ!

A big MMSC thank you to all who bought raffle tickets. All proceeds from the raffle support the work of MMSC including our annual theatre scholarship.
THANK YOU!!

A Celebration of Shakespeare's Sonnets and Winners in the Two-For-Two Raffle!
|
Greetings!
Congratulations to Barbara Holt and Puja Thomson! They were the big winners in the Two-For-Two Raffle drawing! And an even bigger thank you to all who supported MMSC and its programs by buying raffle tickets. We couldn't do it without you. This week-end we continue our Winter Encore Series with a rare re-do of A Celebration of Shakespeare's Sonnets.
The last time Don performed these sonnets for us was 1998 - a mere decade ago. Don't wait another ten years - be there on Friday or Saturday night. And there's more. Stay tuned.

Next Up in the Winter Encore Series Encore 2
A Celebration of Shakespeare's Sonnets (1998 Season)
The most celebrated of English sonneteers is William Shakespeare (1564-1616). Written in the 1590s but not published until 1609, the 154 sonnets are his most personal and romantic work, tempting generation upon generation to speculate upon the identities of the young man and "Dark Lady" to whom they are addressed.
In 1998 MMSC's Don Wildy performed all 154 sonnets in a five-part multi-evening program. Each and every evening was a "sell-out" with many audience members bringing their own copies of the sonnets to follow along.
In 2008, a decade later and just in time for Valentine's Day, Don will once again perform from this rarely seen MMSC program. And as an added attraction each evening's performances will be recorded by MMSC Sound Productions and CDs will be available for purchase later in the spring.

Ancestral Voices, a family story
by A R Gurney (2001 Season) A beautiful chamber work. This lovely play is an elegy for Buffalo. The texture of life in Buffalo is heartbreakingly evoked in ways reminiscent of The Magnificent Ambersons.... This is a magical play, a nuanced reminiscence full of time and change and loss and suffering--as well as joy."
