A Sneak Peek
at what our readers are planning for Fall '07.
Greetings!
Robert MillerWe're back.

We've had a great summer filled with walks on the beach, endless hours in the garden and more tomatoes than it is humanly possible to eat.

Now, we turn our attention to MMSC and a preview of Fall '07.

Take a peek.  Save These Dates. We'll be looking for you.

Murderers by Jeffrey Hatcher - September 14 & 15
Murderers logoGerald, Lucy and Minka have all been very naughty! In fact, they are murderers. They also happen to be residents of Riddle Key Retirement Community in Florida.

That these disparate characters committed murder is not in question, but as for why...well, that is left up to the slightly twisted imagination of playwright Jeffrey Hatcher.

Hatcher's keen and offbeat sense of the ridiculous thrives among the cul de sacs, manicured lawns and electric golf carts.

You may or may not be a murderer yourself, but everyone will ultimately be charmed by this glorious evening of crime.

Tuesdays With Morrie by Jeffrey Hatcher and Mitch Albom - September 21 & 22
Tuesdays With Morrie logo Tuesdays with Morrie, is the true story of popular sports columnist Mitch Albom, who reluctantly interrupted his chaotic and hectic life to visit Morrie Schwartz, his beloved and ailing former college profesor. A gentle reminder to appreciate the little things in life, Tuesdays With Morrie ultimately becomes a "class where life's greatest lessons are taught." Adapted from Albom's best-selling book.

"This is a play that might - incredibly, just might - change your life." John Simon, New York Magazine

Just For Laughs - December 7 & 8
December comediesCelebrate the holiday season with us as we present some of the funniest one-act plays ever written. We promise no hidden messages or morals. Anyone attempting to find redeeming social value in the evening's entertainment will be ushered from the theatre and turned over to the authorities.

Directed by Robert Miller, Just For Laughs will feature MMSC's talented core of comediennes and comedians whose motto is, "If you can't be funny, then look funny."
There are more programs in the works for Fall '07. An evening of the short stories of Mavis Gallant, more poems and our annual evening of new work by Laurence Carr.

It's all in Fall '07. Stay tuned.

Sincerely,

Robert Miller, Producing Director
