Greetings from Mexico...
|
As you may know we have a team that is down in Mexico this week sharing the Good News of Jesus. Here is a quick update to what the Lord is doing in their midst. Be sure to keep them in your prayers!
Well, let me start by saying that it was a huge blessing to be able to come back
for a second time to Iglesia Renovacion here in Mexico. We've already been here
for 6 days, and it feels as if it was the third. Time goes by so fast, but we've
done a lot of things so far. We've helped for the VBS and been helping with all
the kids since Monday. Yesterday, Wednesday, 12 kids were saved out of 90.
Everything has been so joyful, to see all this parents bring their kids and just
leave them here for a couple of hours. All this kids seem happy to be here, and
it makes me happy how God can work through us and let us show his greatness to
this little kids. God is letting us show his love and grace to them, and to
plant this little seed in their hearts, so that it can be able to grow as time
goes by.

Living Proof Life Simulcast

 Ladies, join us for the Living Proof Simulcast being held at Apex Baptist August 28th and 29th. The event runs from 8pm -10:30 pm on Friday (doors open at 7 pm) and 9:30 am- 1:00 pm (doors open at 8:30 am) on Saturday. AWANA Leaders Meeting

 There will be an AWANA leaders meeting directly after the 10:45 service on August 2nd. This meeting is for all returning AWANA leaders and those who are interested in helping this year. Upward Scholarships
|
As Upward Basketball Season approaches we have many families who need help with paying registration costs and we're setting up an Upward Scholarship Fund to assist them in these tough economic times. If you're interested in giving to our Upward Scholarship Fund we have a great need and would really appreciate it! Just designate your check to Upward Scholarship Fund. Upward is a great opportunity for our church to be the Light of Christ in our community and to teach children about the love of Jesus through the game of basketball. Upwards Camp
|
 If you are interested in your first, second or third graders playing Upward this coming season we have an opportunity for them to get a head start. One of our coaches has volunteered to have a skills camp for the above ages who have NEVER played Upward before. This camp will be from Aug. 10 to Aug. 14 and will run from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm. Trip to the Holy Land

Missions Corner Collections
|
 This school year there will be children in need at our nearby elementary schools (K-5) and the Raleigh Rescue Mission. From now through August 31st we will be collecting school supplies, gently used jackets, warm shirts, and new underwear and socks for these children. Please leave your donations at the missions Corner located past the round window at the end of the hall.
