"Faced with crisis, the man of character falls back on himself. He imposes his own stamp of action, takes responsibility for it, makes it his own."

-- Charles de Gaulle

One question an interviewer should always ask of one being interviewed for a new position is "Tell me about a crisis you experienced in your life or business career, and how you handled it?"

You don't need an interview to understand the dynamics of our nation's financial crisis. The event is as informative as it is stressful.

The way I see it, it shouldn't matter whether you're for
or against the issue -- as long as you make your decision your own.

What Can You Do?

When you hear the "blame game" being played, you know you have a
weak player who will not help during a crisis. And you know you will have always have another crisis.  Now is when you find out the true character of men and women!

Avoid people that play the blame game as opposed to those who take responsibility. Find people that will make a challenge their own and work toward a solution. When you do, you will have a stronger team and client relationships.
