TONIGHT!
 
Wednesday, April 8 - Bob Tina, superintendent of the Lynn Water and Sewer Wastewater (LW&S) Treatment Facility, will give an illustrated talk on the new windmill planned for their plant on the Lynn Harbor shore. Tina's talk, sponsored by the Nahant Alternative Energy Committee, will be at 7:30 pm at the Nahant Town Hall basement. 
 
CELEBRATE EARTH DAY AT SALEM STATE COLLEGE!

- Earth Day judges are needed for the student research poster competition at Salem State College from 11:00 - 12:15 in Vets Hall! Contact [email protected] or call 781-598-3794 if you can participate.
 
More SSC Earth Day events continue throughout the week, including tours of Cat Cove and a special evening program on April 22 with Friends of Earth awards honoring Civil Action lawyer Jan Schlictmann, Rep. Lori Ehrlich and local activists who led the clean up of the power plant fly ash dumped on the shores of Wenham Lake (drinking water source). Public is welcome!

MARBLEHEAD GREEN FAIR
Saturday, April 18 - Marblehead Community Center. Over 30 displays, experts and films. There's something for everyone!

AN INVITATION TO EXPLORE THE CONNECTION BETWEEN NUTRITION, EXERCISE AND PUBLIC POLICY! Wednesday, April 29 - Healthy Community, Healthy You, Swampscott High School, 7:30 - 9:00 pm. A lively discussion by a panel of local experts - Harvey Zarren, M.D., Michelle Gottlieb MEM, Cindy Lavender, MS. Ed., State Rep. Lori Ehrlich and CCHN member Lolli Leeson. Sponsored by the Marblehead/Swampscott Community Collaborative on Health and Nutrition (CCHN).

PLANT WATCH RAPID RESONSE TEAM - Keep sending photos of the dirty plume and soot visuals to HealthLink. Our slide show is expanding and has the attention of DEP. If you would like to be trained as a certifed plume reader, HealthLink will send you to Opacity Training all expenses paid - classroom study on Apr 21 and field training during Apr 22 & 23.
