Each year, thousands of children in the United States are diagnosed with diabetes.

At the Children's Hospital at University Hospital and Clinics, the pediatric diabetes team assists children throughout Missouri and surrounding states who have been diagnosed with diabetes by teaching them and their families how to successfully manage their disease.

The Pediatric Diabetes Program at Mizzou Children's Hospital remains one of the nationwide leaders in providing quality care to children with diabetes. Its renowned reputation is founded upon decades of research and landmark discoveries in the area of pediatric diabetes, led by Dr. Robert L. Jackson and Dr. David Goldstein, who are both well-known leaders in the field.
