Through the kindness of our volunteers and our foster homes, we care for animals of all types, either
on a temporary basis while we search for a new, permanent home, or on a long-term basis while the
animal is treated for illness or injury.

At no time are animals euthanized just because they don't have
a home - all animals have a home at Columbia Second Chance. Animals are accepted on a space- available basis.

Ever consider being a foster parent to a dog friend?

Looking for a great running partner?

Our foster caregivers take in our wonderful dogs on a temporary basis until permanent homes can be found. Fosters assist in training our dogs and help them to overcome any fears or stresses caused by their abandonment or abuse. Most importantly, our fosters help us find homes for our dogs by getting them out into the community and introducing them around. This is a great way to get the dogs out of the kennels and into the loving environments they so desperately crave and deserve.

We are looking for some great homes for these great dogs. Do you have a great home that you are willing to share with a furry dog friend that deserves lots of love? Are you looking for a great running buddy that is ready to go at a moments notice?
