Scholastic Writing Contest Winner

A sixth-grader at Spring Woods Middle, Noel Rodriguez, has won the Scholastic Scope Magazine “SEALS” Writing Contest. Only 10 students from across the nation were chosen as winners in this essay contest.

Wilchester Elementary students held a food drive recently for the Houston Food Bank. They collected and delivered 2,644 pounds of food.

Four district high school students among new Eagle Scouts

Four district high school students among new  Eagle Scouts

Four Spring Branch area young men have earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest possible rating in Boy Scouting. Only about 4 percent of all Boy Scouts achieve this goal. The students are all associated with Troop #599 sponsored by Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.
