J.M. Maly, Inc. was awarded a subcontract to furnish and install overhead coiling doors, grilles, and sectional doors on the New College Station High School project. JMMI was involved on the project from design conception and assisted with the design of the motorized vertical lift sectional doors in the servery area of the high school.
When given the opportunity to present the necessary information to properly detail and specify overhead doors and any other product we provide, the likelihood of being satisfied with the end product is practically inevitable.
Our specialty contracting services include assisting with design, design development cost analysis, thorough project estimating and management, and quality installation services.

JMMI's Cupid's Cookers Win 3 at Balfour Beatty BBQ Cook-Off
Supporting The Wounded Warriors Project, Balfour Beatty hosted their trade partner barbeque cook-off on February 10th. A total of 27 cook teams participated to support the cause.
1st Place in Chicken
The story has been told that Jerry Maly, JMMI's chief financial officer has been working on a complex chicken recipe for a WHOLE DECADE! Being the epitome of a cooking enthusiast and perfectionist, Jerry's recipe for success was sure to win among the intelligentsia of succulent, slow-roasted and smoked meats. Since Jerry had a prior engagement the Thursday and Friday of the cook-off, in his absence, the strategic recipe for chicken which takes 36 hours to prepare was performed with "mad skill" by JMMI's CEO, Jan Maly. The chicken won, apparently from the point spread, hands down. Chicken Victory!
1st Place in Sustainability
How do you make an outdoor cooking/entertainment space "green"? The judging measures required those participating in the Sustainability category to follow principles mirroring the LEED rating system and submit evidence of sustainability for their cooking/entertainment space. Measures included water efficiency, carpooling to the event, using recycled materials, staging plants throughout the cooking space, and an innovation credit. JMMI submitted an impressive packet meeting 21 of the 22 criteria of the rating system to Balfour Beatty's Vice President of Sustainability and won 1st place.
3rd Place in Spirit
There's no debate about it; We love to build. We also love our nation's warriors. JMMI's cook team a.k.a. Cupid's Cookers (for this event), built a kissing booth framed by a repurposed shipping pallet and built-out with recycled wall protection which was reused from a project (see Sustainability award above) and accepted $1 donations for smooches. AshLee the kissing cupid, raised $378 which was donated to the event's Wounded Warriors fund. Tim McWhirter, JMMI's safety director was a great sport after being approached to transform into a guy cupid. He, with the help from his wife Savannah, took it to such enthusiastic and admirable heights winning the crowd over.

MIAMI DADE APPROVED ROOF HATCH
The Bilco Company is pleased to announce that it now offers roof hatches that have received Miami-Dade County's Notice of Acceptance (NOA). The NOA certifies that Bilco's Type S and NB steel and aluminum roof hatches conform to high-velocity hurricane zone standards in Miami-Dade County in Florida.
ENHANCED PERFORMANCE ROOF HATCH
The new thermally enhanced roof hatch line features special gasketing and increased insulation for superior thermal performance. Enhanced performance roof hatches will improve the energy efficiency of the building and are ideal for GREEN building applications.
