Notes from the President
Budget Meetings Continue
The members of Unity Church agreed at the recent annual meeting that the Finance Committee would hold three "unofficial" gatherings at which members of the church could help formulate a plan to bring our aspirations in line with our budget constraints.
The first meeting was held on Wednesday June 27. To see notes from that meeting click here.
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday July 11 at 7:15 pm in the Chaffin room. This discussion is an open ended opportunity to explore the ministries of the church and the budget constraints under which we must proceed.
At the final meeting on Thursday August 3 at 7:15 pm, we will recap prior discussions and try to formulate a sense of the congregation to present to the executive body for further deliberation and action.
Remember, if you need childcare during these meetings, please contact Cheryl Brigante at cherylbrigante@hotmail.com by Monday July 9, 2012.
Unity Retreat with Bridgewater
On June 13, 2012, twelve people from Unity Church joined First Parish Church in a retreat led by Peter Bowden. In an exercise to envision our church in five years, the group got together and shared what they saw. To see the notes from that exercise please click here.
Hope you are having a wonderful summer so far!

A New Visitor at Unity Church
Our friend the hawk has been seen quite often these days perched atop the steeple on the quatrefoile (which means "four leaves" in Latin - maybe he thought it was a tree?)
Thanks to Ellen Dehm for this photo. It is a nice reminder to be sure to look up once in a while.
Do you have Photos to Share in the Unity News?We are always looking for great photos from the Unity Church campus and congregational activities to use in our online news. If you have something you would like to share, or have any questions regarding the Unity News, please contact Cathy Adler at |

Our Summer Services
This summer Unity Church has something new! We have seven Sundays without Rev. Tess, and we have seven principles. This was too perfect a match to pass up, so during this summer let's celebrate our Seven Principles.
The Worship Committee is so excited to try this more intimate, slightly shorter, hopefully cooler, Sunday Worship with you! This is a great way to become more familiar with the principles if you are new to our Faith, or to return to the roots if you've been here a while.
How will it work? Click here to read more...
Want to Ride Your Bike to Church?
Now you have a place to park it! Thanks to two anonymous donors, we have a new bike rack behind Parish Hall.
