Our NEW Summer Services
This summer Unity Church has something new! We have seven Sundays without Rev. Tess, and we have seven principles. This was too perfect a match to pass up, so during this summer let's celebrate our Seven Principles.
The Worship Committee is so excited to try this more intimate, slightly shorter, hopefully cooler, Sunday Worship with you! This is a great way to become more familiar with the principles if you are new to our Faith, or to return to the roots if you've been here a while.
How will it work? Click here to read more...

Unity Member, David Mudd to Receive the "Michael & Kitty Dukakis Humanitarian Award"
On Thursday May 17, Massasoit Community College will celebrate 28 years of "making our world a better place, one young person at a time", including recognition of David Mudd.
"A little more than 2 years ago an earthquake devastated Haiti killing more than 300,000 and leaving more than a million homeless. The call went out and a few responded. Dr. David Mudd had been an emergency room physician for 10 years but nothing could have prepared him for the unimaginable destruction and suffering that he would encounter in the impoverished island nation." I wanted to build a team for the annual Relay For Life, in which I participate each year, and found some interest here at Unity Church. So, we WILL have a team, named Unity Unites, and stationed at the Mansfield Relay (Jordan Elementary School) on June 15th at 5:00 pm to June 16th at 10:00 am.

- Walk in the relay
- Help collect donations, by joining our team

- Stay for an hour .... Stay all night, your choice
- Buy and decorate a Luminary bag for the ceremony (all donations go to the team fundraising)

Spoken Announcements in Worship Years ago, Unity Church decided on spoken announcements during coffee hour. However, we heard that this now doesn't work, for a few reasons; people talk during them, people want social hour to be just for socializing and not church business, etc.
So, the Worship Committee proposed a new process that the Executive Committee endorsed. Starting in April, we will make these changes:
- After the Prelude and before the bell ringing, one person, hopefully from the Executive Committee, will make all the announcements.
- Anyone who wants a spoken announcement made, please submit it to Gail by the preceding Friday at office@unity-church.com. She will leave a copy on the podium in the Sanctuary to be read aloud.
- To keep things short, please limit the announcement to 30 words. The contact person will be asked to rise or raise a hand so people know who to ask for further information, go to for fliers, etc.

A Note on A View From the Pew
In keeping with this year's theme of sources and spiritual practice, we invite you to share your journey in a brief, 2-3 minute, View From the Pew during worship. You could talk about a spiritual practice you perform, what it is and how it makes you feel. To schedule a time to share your view, please contact Rev. Tess Baumberger at tbaumberger@uuma.org / 508-238-1131 . |
