Saint Patrick's Weekly Reminders
September 20, 2012
Our fall worship schedule is in effect. Service time are 8:30 and 10:30 am.  Christian Education meets in the Sanctuary from 9:30 am until 10:15 am. Click here to view the entire worship and education schedule.

The adult forum in the Sanctuary meets at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings. This week's forum will be led by Bob Gerrard. Click here
to read about the topic for this week and next.

We have resumed the practice of praying submitted names aloud during the Prayers of the People.  Should you desire to offer a name and/or occasion for thanksgiving to be included in the Prayers of the People, please inform Beryl Frey before 8am Sunday morning. You may contact her by email or the church office phone (704) 663-5659.  If requested, Beryl will keep the name automatically listed for up to four weeks, at which time a resubmitted request will be necessary.  In addition to submitted prayers, there will be an opportunity for parishioners to offer additional names either in silence or aloud.  We give thanks to God, knowing that all prayers, in all forms, are heard and answered in accordance with Divine wisdom and love.

As is our custom at Saint Patrick's, we will observe the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi on October 7, 2012 with an outdoor service and annual Blessing of the Animals. The 8:30 service will be held indoors and will be pet-free. The 10:30 service will be held in our outdoor worship space behind the Sanctuary (weather permitting).  You are invited to bring your pets to receive a blessing from the clergy. Dogs should be kept on a leash, which cats and smaller animals should be kept in carriers.  Bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. There will be a small amount of seating provided for folks who need more stable seating, or forget their lawn chairs. Mark your calendars and plan to join us!

Did you know that every man, woman and child in our parish is prayed for each day? This is made possible by our Prayer Partners. To learn more about this ministry and how you can be involved, click here

Are you or someone you know thinking about Baptism at Saint Patrick's? We offer two dates a year - one in the spring and one in the fall for Baptism. Our fall date is November 4th and the date for spring is April 7, 2013.  If you are interested in learning more, please contact Beryl Frey in the parish office by clicking here

The Daughters of the King is an order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church and churches in communion with it.  Members undertake a Rule of Life, Prayer and Service.  Our vision is to know Jesus Christ, to make Him known to others, and become reflections of God's love throughout the world. Our mission is the extension of Christ's Kingdom through Prayer, Service and Evangelism. Saint Patrick's has two very active Daughters groups.  One meets monthly on the third Wednesday at 10:00 and the other meets on the second Saturday of each month.   There is a training program for prospective members.  Anyone who is interested in the Daughters should contact Sharon Sale  (704-928-7836) for more information
