As a display of gratitude for Pam Hatley's ministry, we are accepting contributions towards a gift for Pam. After so many years of lost spouse time on weekends due to the demands of her position, we would like to provide Pam and Mark Hatley a getaway weekend vacation. If you would like to contribute, please make checks payable to "Saint Patrick's" and note "Pam Hatley Gift" on the memo line. You may submit these clearly marked contributions in the loose plate offering, or directory to the church office.
During the 10:30 a.m. service on September 9th, we will liturgically give thanks for Pam Hatley's many years as Director of Youth Ministries and bless her as she begins her discernment process to the priesthood. A reception honoring Pam will follow the service. Please bring an appetizer-type dish to share. Also, Parish Life is seeking volunteers who can help set up and clean up before and after the reception. Please contact Kenni Setzer (828) 461-7227 if you are able to help.
Sign ups are underway for this year's Foyer Groups. You can read all the details and sign up by clicking here.
The Annual Parade of Tables is coming on September 22nd. You can read all the details by clicking here. The Parade of Tables is a successful event attended by many. We are in need of persons who can bring a salad or dessert to share for the event. Click here if you can help out by bringing either a salad or dessert. There is a separate tab for the salads and desserts.
During the Parade of Tables, the ECW will hold a gift basket auction. We are looking for new items or gift certificates that can be donated by a business that someone may have, or families can get together and donate something. You will not be asked to make up the gift basket, simply donate items. Tickets for the auction will be $5.00 for a sheet of 25 tickets. Tickets will go on sale in September. Contact Bonnie Sue Tobias for more information (704) 663-7902 or mail her by clicking here

Saint Patrick's has three persons who serve as delegates to our annual Diocesan Convention (held in January). Persons serve a three-year term on a staggered basis so that each year only one delegate is rolling off. Bob Millikin completed his term at Convention in January of 2012. Scott Coble will complete his term in January of 2013. We currently need to find a delegate who would be interested in replacing Bob. If you would like to serve in this capacity, email Beryl Frey in the parish office by clicking here
This Sunday, August 26th, from Noon until 3:00 p.m., families with children 5th grade and younger are invited to a pool party hosted by the Forbes family. The address of their neighborhood pool is 128 Sweet Magnolia Court, Mooresville 28115. Saint Patrick's will provide pizzas and water to drink. Feel free to bring other snacks and desserts (remember - no nuts). This is always a fun event for families to mingle before the start of another busy school year. Please let Ginger Missert know by Friday (August 24) if you are planning to attend so she will know how many pizzas to buy. You can reach Ginger at (704) 664-7197 or email her by clicking here

If you are desirous of pastoral support from one of our clergy or our lay pastoral leadership, we ask that you inform the church office directly. Please do not rely on word-of-mouth which often does not make it to us. Thank you, and God's peace.
