Maundy Thursday service tonight!! Please join us at 7:00 pm this evening. This service is the commemoration of the Last Supper, the final Passover meal that Jesus ate with his disciples.
The Nightwatch will take place immediately following the conclusion of the Maundy Thursday service. It will begin by 8:30 pm and an unbroken watch continues until 7:00 am Friday morning.
The Good Friday liturgy is at Noon tomorrow (Friday, April 6th). This service is quite different from any other day of the year. After a dark, quiet entrance, there are readings from Isaiah and from the Letter to the Hebrews, culminating in the solemn reading of the Passion Gospel according to John.
If you are coming to the Good Friday service, we are seeking a few volunteers to help arrange the Sanctuary in preparation for our Easter services on Sunday morning. This will be done immediately following the Good Friday service tomorrow. No heavy lifting involved - just mostly shuffling chairs around. If you are able to stay and help, Mark Forbes would be most grateful.
Easter Sunday services are at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The 10:30 a.m. service will be followed by an Easter Egg Hunt on the front lawn for children ages 0-8.
Please note that there will be no Christian Education classes for children, youth or adults this Sunday. Classes resume for all ages next Sunday, April 15th.
Abbreviated Office Hours next week! Due to office closings for Easter observance and staff vacations, the parish office will only be open on Wednesday, April 11th and Thursday, April 12th from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Voice mail messages and emails will be checked daily beginning on Wednesday, April 11th.
