ELIFE ADVENTURE

We are a nonprofit community

activity network that builds quality friendships based on mutual respect and common interests.

We offer something for everyone.  Whether you enjoy adventure sports, discussing books, or dining out with friends, there's a place for you at eLife Adventure.

Come join the fun!

Greetings!

How's the spring cleaning going? Are you getting rid of what you don't need in your life: the extra stuff in the house, the bad habits you could do without, and the extraneous activities that crowd out what really matters? Good! Now you have more time for the important things in life--like volunteering and celebrating with your eLife friends! My eLife Calendar is full of volunteer and recreational opportunities. (You can even combine volunteering and recreation at the Volunteers in Action Welcome Party.) Spring into life by visiting My eLife Calendar today!
Dr. Oz Volunteers
eLife Volunteers Support Dr. Oz

Dr. Oz is busy. In addition to hosting a show on television and radio, he is an author and a practicing cardiothoracic surgeon. But that doesn't stop this Harvard graduate from finding time to serve. He and his wife, Lisa Oz, are co-founders of Health Corps, a proactive health movement fighting the nation's childhood obesity crisis.* On April 30, Dr. Oz was the keynote speaker at Sacramento's first HealthCorps Gala.

Large events, such as April's gala, rely on meticulous coordination and reliable volunteers. So where did the New York production team for this year's gala go for dependable, hardworking volunteers? To eLife, of course. Our reputation as the premier volunteer group is spreading across the nation. We extend a big thank you to all our terrific volunteers who prioritize the needs of others and make a difference in our community.

Dr. Oz sign *HealthCorps® is building a movement to fight childhood obesity by getting to the underbelly of the crisis and discovering what Americans are really hungry for and why and then proposing a remedy. HealthCorps "Coordinators" carry out unique in-school and community programming targeting high-need populations.  HealthCorps also serves as a unique research laboratory to explore the complex, underlying causes of the obesity crisis. Get Your Groove On

Hey Cool Cats, what's shakin'? How about your chance on Saturday, May 19 to get down and boogie to the music of the 70s and 80s as our favorite DJ, Jerry Tatum, spins some tunes.

Dig out your hip huggers, bell bottoms, miniskirts, and crazy plaids 'cuz there's a prize for the most outta sight costume. Needs inspiration? Think Cher, Nixon, Star Trek, Brady Bunch, Beach Boys, Farrah Fawcett, Richard Simmons . . . . Got the picture?

The night will be totally awesome with karaoke and lip sync performances. If you're a Cool Cat who likes to sing (or lip sync), get your gang together and get ready to score a prize for the best number.

So come groove to the music and hang with your eLife friends. This event promises to be far out!

Host Spotlight: Jordan S.
Do you remember the movie Field of Dreams? While working in his cornfield, Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner) hears a voice prompting him to build a baseball field: "If you build it, he will come."

Our featured Host, Jordan S., feels the same way about My eLife Calendar: "If you post it, they will come!"

He says, "If there is something you want to do, just put it on the eLife calendar, and people will come! There's always someone to go do something fun with."

Jordan especially enjoys hosting his fellow cigar enthusiast friends at Guys & Gars events. He would also like to team up with others to host more outdoor snow activities such as skiing, snowshoeing, and snowboarding.
