Homemade Soups, Games, & Poker
Let the competition begin! Which is better--a meaty, spicy chili or a smooth, delicate bouillabaisse? Come to eLife's annual "Soup Iron Chefs" event, and you'll be the judge. Enjoy tasting several delicious soups, expertly prepared by our guest chefs. And once you've had your fill, relax with games and poker. Best of all, through all this food and fun, you'll be supporting the eLife organization with your $15 donation.
So, who will have the bragging rights as eLife's 2012 best iron chef? RSVP at the eLife calendar and come help us decide.

 eLife Celebrates its Donors
Saturday, January 21, was a night of celebration as eLife recognized a special group of eLife Friends: our donors. Celebrating a year of giving, this annual event highlights those whose financial donations continue to make membership in eLife free to everyone in our community. Thank you donors for all you do! |

Host Spotlight: Annemarie D.
"I was initially perturbed at the inconvenience of it all when I was diagnosed with breast cancer," says Annemarie. Breast cancer did not fit into her active lifestyle of camping, swing dancing, gardening, and swimming. Annemarie was more comfortable being on the giving end--jumping in wherever needed--than being on the receiving end. Annemarie has come through her struggle, however, a better person--even more ready to give back to others. She writes, "Count me in as a volunteer at the Komen Walk for the Cure."
Will you join Annemarie in making this event a success? eLife volunteers are still needed for the morning registration shift.
Race for the Cure - Saturday May 12, 2012
RSVP today!
After her brush with breast cancer, Annemarie has a new appreciation for life. She recently renewed her eLife account and is looking forward to a new year filled with dancing, climbing, hiking, biking, building new friendships, outreach and living life to the fullest!
