Welcome!
Question: What's the single most important thing for caregivers to remember during the holidays?
Answer: Themselves! With this in mind here's our latest news and resources... and be sure to check out "Caregiver Stress and the Holidays" and then give yourself a present (see below)!

Dear Friends, One really important question for the holidays: What single present can you give yourself that will make you feel better-stronger-happier during this time? How will you guarantee that you give yourself this present during holiday hustle and bustle? If something doesn't immediately come to mind, consider this: new research* has just established that personal health issues are a primary concern to caregivers. So... how about giving a continuing gift (to both you and your loved ones!) by considering one of these: an ongoing exercise program, a period of daily relaxation (yoga, meditation) or joining a local/online caregiver support program? I've mentioned previously that I'm a caregiver, too, and just want to share that this year my personal choice for dealing with holiday stress is an exercise program, which I'm beginning immediately! I'm guaranteeing this further by getting a friend to join me, signing up, and scheduling it! Trust me - this is not an easy choice given time constraints, but I'm determined and will let you know how it goes! You heard it here...this is a commitment!
