Q:  I am interested in retrofitting existing fluorescent fixtures with LED's.  What is CUL/UL's stance on the certification of retrofit kits for this purpose?   

      

A: This is a question that we have been hearing a lot of, especially with people looking to replace fluorescent lamps with self-driving LED lamps.  There are very specific safety regulations concerning retrofitting a fixture with LED's.  Be sure to read the following information to ensure that you are up to date with all the new developments on retrofitting using LED's.
