Q: Won't I shorten the life of a fluorescent lamp if I turn it on and off frequently and therefore waste money?

A: While switching fluorescent lamps on and off does reduce its lamp life, it also reduces the operating time the lamp is on.  For example, a standard T8 linear fluorescent has a  theoretical lamp life of 36 000 hours if left on.  Since a year has 8760 hours, this lamp would burn out in 4.1 years if it were never shut off.  On the other hand, the same lamp only operating for 12 hours a day has a lamp life of 30 000 hours.  Although the lamp life has been reduced by about 21% by turning the lamp on and off, the operating time has also been cut by 50%.  Therefore, the calendar life of the lamp has been lengthened.  If the lamp was to run 12 hours a day, it would now take 6.8 years to burn out.

This is why we think adding a sensor to High Bays is a good idea.

Dear ,      money

Today we are going to talk money because we understand when you work with your customers, its always a big consideration.

Price is important.  We are not even going to try to dispute that.  But we are confident that you will find our pricing to be some of the most competitive on the market.

But besides price, did you know that efficiency is money?

On average, JAFtech High Bays are 4% more efficient than our leading competitor.  What does this mean?

This means that if you need 100 of our competitors highbays to light a room to 35 foot candles, that you will only need 96 JAFtech High Bays to give the same lighting levels. So, if the fixtures cost $100.00 each, then you could enjoy an additional savings of one beer/ fixture at the local pub using JAFtech.  Our efficiencies are independently tested and can be found on our  PHOTOMETRICS PAGE.

And let us also not forget the old saying "time is money".  Labor is the largest price variable on the job site.  With that in mind, we have developed fixtures that arrive on site ready to put up.  We do all of the wiring and we will even install lamps for you.

As well, because we understand that  business does not stop when our office closes on the weekends or sometimes you may need an instant quote, we have created a short video that will show the benefits of using our ONLINE QUOTATIONS/ PRICING SYSTEM VIDEO.
