From the Director...

I love Spring! It is colorful, happy and alive.  Thousands of happy families, students, tour groups and friends have passed through our gates over the last couple of months. Our Spring Break Staycation, Scout Day and Victorian Eggstravaganza gave visitors a chance to do a number of hands on activities and see some wonderful demonstrations, as well as, creating record attendance for the HFM!

At Heritage Farmstead Museum we are not only surrounded by beautiful gardens and grounds, but also by colorful and happy volunteers who make the farmstead come alive for so many visitors. I hope you will join us at our upcoming Volunteer Fair on April 20 and bring a friend. We are expanding our volunteer base to help with our education, docent, and museum programs.

We are excited to announce a number of construction projects to begin in the next month. With the completion of our Master Plan we will be making significant improvements to the Pole Barn, adding water fountains and improved pathways. We will also be creating more green space and open meadows for our activities.

It is truly a wonderful time of renewal and growth for the museum and we look forward to sharing it with you!
