Remembering the Incarnation of Christ

As we celebrate the glorious birth of Jesus, let us give thanks with hearts full of praise for all that He is and all that He accomplished for us. When I meditate on the person and work of Christ, I have a sense of wonder when I consider the many paradoxes revealed in His Word. He was born without sin so that He could die for sin. He was beaten so that sinners could be healed. He was rejected by men so that sinners could be accepted by God. He used the foolish to confound the wise and the weak to subdue the strong. He makes His enemies His friends, the poor rich and sinners righteous. He exalts the humble and sets captives free. He taught that giving is better than receiving, that believing must precede seeing, that one must lose his life to find it, that one must die to self to live and the last shall be first. He divides earthly families while uniting His heavenly family.

The Lord's incarnation began with the miracle of His conception and culminated with the miracle of His resurrection. He held no degree, yet He became the greatest of all teachers. He was not a doctor, yet He healed multitudes of people where ever He went. Only once did he cross a border, yet His presence has been felt in every nation of the world. He never wrote a book yet countless books have been written about Him. He was raised as a carpenter only to be nailed to a cross made of the very wood that He created. Herod could not kill Him, Satan could not defeat Him, death could not destroy Him and the grave could not hold Him. There has been no greater triumph than His resurrection and no greater defeat than His victory over sin, death and Satan. Soon every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.

An interesting article on the true meaning of Christ-Mass is here.
Pope Says Mary Is the Woman in Revelation

Pope Benedict XVI reflected on the biblical description of a "woman clothed with the sun" in his remarks at Rome's Spanish Steps on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. "It represents the Church and Our Lady," the Pope said before the statue commemorating Mary's Immaculate Conception. The 12th chapter of Revelation describes "a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars." The pope said, "Besides representing Our Lady, this sign personifies the Church...which is pregnant, in the sense that she carries Christ" and "must give birth to him to the world." He explained, "While sinless herself, Mary remains in solidarity with the Church struggling against sin. That is why the people of God turn to their heavenly mother and ask for her help." Mike's comment: The woman in Revelation 12:1 has historically been identified as Israel. She is "clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars." When we interpret Scripture with Scripture, we see in Genesis 37:9-11, the sun refers to Jacob, the moon represents Rachel, Jacob's wife and the matriarch of the 12 tribes of Israel. The 12 stars refer to the sons of Jacob and thus, the 12 tribes of Israel.

Letters of Love and Concern
Letters
Mr. Gendron, I want you know that your book has so much wisdom from God's Word, and it has helped me witness greatly. It shows how God alone deserves all praise and glory and honor and His sacrifice was ONCE for ALL. I used many Scriptures from Preparing for Eternity to show the error of the Catholic church with my Catholic brother-in-law yesterday. I am really grateful in tears for his new life. He is mentally disabled, and now he says he is born again, a new man... Praise God. H. G., Scottsdale, AZ

Dear Mike, Your immovable stand on God's Holy Word, in the face of so fierce an adversary as the Roman Catholic religion, is a source of rejoicing and inspiration for us. Giants are no match for the God we serve! We deeply appreciate your ministry and service. You are continually in our prayers, as you have taught us much in a short time. Your PowerPoint presentations have helped sharpen our understanding of the Bible, in particular, on the subject of Divine Forgiveness, (judicial vs. parental). Your willingness to help, your readiness to equip and encourage, and your loving reproof and correction of error, not only provide genuine comfort and blessing to the hearts of fellow believers, but also activate the manifold love of God. J.&A.T. Greenwood, LA

Dear Mike, Unfortunately I missed your last visit to our country but I am so thankful for receiving your DVDs. They are very good and I have used them to try and get people to see the dangers of the catholic cult, sorry I can't call it a church as it is a false church and acts like a cult. As I read the reports of your recent ministry in Rome, my heart was grieved for the many millions of Catholics who are caught up in this vicious deceitful cult. Are their hearts so hardened that Almighty God has given so many over to a spirit of delusion (2 Thes. 2:11). I struggle with my attitude towards these people as I find myself entertaining the thought that well, they deserve what they will get.... as the TRUTH has been made freely available to all of us. I know that is wrong and I ask if you have an answer for that. I have anger in my heart and I don't handle it well, though I have prayed about it. You seem to have a mild and humble, yet forceful and persuasive way of presenting the truth to others, that I seem to lack. Thank you and your team, for being faithful to the calling of God on your life. May the material I have from you be continued to be used for His glory and for His praise and Honor.
T. H., Brisbane, Australia

Dear T. H., The solution to your anger towards those lost in false religions should be directed to the institutions that deceive them. I have a deep and compassionate love for individual Catholics but a profound hatred for the religious institution that sends millions of people to hell with its false gospel (Psalm 119:128).. Pray that you will gain a deeper understanding of what Paul wrote: "but by the grace of God I am what I am" (1 Cor. 15:10). This will help your attitude toward them to change from anger to compassion. Let us know how we can serve you again.

Handel's Messiah Like You've Never Seen It Before

Handel's Messiah was presented in a unique and fascinating way as a result of a school computer project. It was intended for the Yupiq villages in Alaska but much to the villagers' shock, over a half million people have already viewed it. Enjoy it by clicking here.
Movie Promotes the Miracle of the Catholic Mass
A controversial new movie opens in theaters this month called The Greatest Miracle. The movie's theme centers around the importance of participating in the sacrifice of Jesus on Catholic altars. The story line is about three troubled Catholics whose lives change forever after miraculous encounters with their guardian angels and Mary. They each witness the true meaning of the Mass and the supernatural forces behind Christ's sacrifice on the altar. The movie appears to be another attempt to encourage separated brethren to come back home to Rome for the "fullness of salvation." Read more here.

Gay Clubs Active at Catholic Colleges

Many young students are being led into sin by organizations that operate on Catholic university campuses. It is reported that of the 244 Catholic universities and colleges in the USA, 107 - or 43% - officially recognize student clubs that promote the homosexual agenda. One of them is Saint Norbert College, which hosts a group called the Rainbow Alliance. This organization promotes events such as "Celebrate Bisexuality Day" and "National Coming Out Day" as well as something called "Gender Bender Dances". The University of Notre Dame's Core Council for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Questioning Students promotes a pro-LGBT "Day of Silence", and works to implement "educational programming on gay and lesbian issues." Georgetown University advertises a "Genderfunk Drag Ball." Read complete article here.
Apostate Christianity Shares Unity with Rome

The winds of ecumenical unity with the apostate Roman Catholic religion continue to blow across our land. Southern Baptist James Robinson recently interviewed Catholic priest Jonathan Morris about the common faith they share. Robinson either does not know the true Gospel, or he is ignorant of the fatal gospel the Catholic religion embraces. See the interview here.
