How Would You Respond to this Gospel?
Some are saying this Gospel presentation is absolutely incredible! They have never heard it so succinct...never. A great tool for sharing the basics of God's Message. Personally, I found that it lacks one important part of the sinner's response to the Gospel. The Savior began and ended His earthly ministry with a call to repent (Mark 1:15 and Luke 24:47). In this postmodern world of the emerging church, the truth must be made clear so that people can know the only saving response to the Gospel is to repent and believe it. After you watch it let us know what your thoughts. Watch it here.

"Chrislam" Gains Popularity in Liberal Churches
Chrislam
Christian churches across the United States began a series of sermons aimed at bringing about reconciliation between Muslims and Christians. They are focusing on a relationship between the Holy Bible and the Koran they and are calling it "Chrislam." Ministers are saying that because the Koran mentions Jesus that there is common ground with Christianity. To prove their point, they are placing Korans alongside the Holy Bible in their pews. And they are teaching that you can be a follower of Christ without necessarily believing that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, who died for our sins offering the gift of eternal salvation. Commentator Paul Williams writes: "The Chrislam movement has gained impetus because of statements by President George W. Bush that Christians, Jews, and Muslims all worship the same God and by Rick Warren's reference to Isa (the Muslim name for Jesus) in his prayer at the inauguration of President Barack Obama." Letters From You
Letters
Dear Mike,
Greetings from your brother in Massachusetts!  The fruit of your conference here at First Baptist Church is still being reaped. I am so thankful that you came here to Weymouth to share what the Lord has placed upon your heart these many years.  We recently had a whole family (6 total) get baptized at our church and their testimonies where amazing. The Lord brought them all out of the Roman Catholic Church and now they have an amazing burden to reach them with the Gospel. Amazingly enough, at the apex of their battle, we had our three day conference with you.  They came and it really helped them. Anyways, all of that to say they recently emailed me with the below email. I thank the Lord for you and Jane.
Pastor Paul Tessari

Dear Paul,
All of the Catholic Churches in the Boston area, recently played a videotaped message from Cardinal Sean O'Malley as part of a huge, expensive, and well-advertised effort by the Catholic Church to evangelize and welcome home  "separated brethren". Television commercials will begin airing soon. With Catholics now being instructed to actively reach out, I was wondering if a new Christian website, responding to what is specifically being preached on the Catholics Come Home website, would be effective. A site that parallels the Catholics Come Home website could counter with Scripture all of the issues that the Catholic group addresses, in the same order that it addresses them. I personally frequented their website during my own search, and I would have appreciated something like that. I'm not talking about recreating what Mike Gendron has done; his website would complement what I'm imagining, and maybe working with Mike and directing people to his site for more in-depth articles would be an option. However, the Catholic campaign is an aggressive local effort, so having a local site with local contact numbers may be important and encouraging to people who want to talk to someone. They say that everyone needs to come home to the Catholic Church. A contrasting Christian site could point people to Scriptures that say that Jesus is preparing a place for us in His Father's house, and that our citizenship is in heaven. The Catholic site proudly points out that they are the largest Christian community; the contrasting site could direct people to the narrow road scriptures. The link to the Catholics Come Home website is here.

An Interesting Encounter With a Jewish Couple
star of davud
As we were traveling in Roatan, Honduras earlier this month, we shared some time with a very friendly Jewish couple. After a while they asked us what we do for a living. I told them we equip and encourage people to share the good news of Jesus Christ with their friends and loved ones. The wife quickly retorted, "You won't be converting me to Christianity." I put her at ease when I said, "I've never converted anyone, that's God's business; we are just His ambassadors. She chided me and said the Jews never try to proselytize anyone! I replied, "that's because you don't have any good news to share. A little taken back by the comment she thought for a moment and said, "we do indeed have good news!" When I asked her what is it? She said, "I'm a Jew and I am proud of it." I responded, "that's about you; our good news is about a Savior who saves people from their sins." Unfortunately, she chose to terminate the conversation at that point.

Divine Appointments Are So Wonderful
Rome/Bible
Two sales associates from AT&T came by our office to share some new products that would help our ministry become more effective in communications. After their presentation I asked a question for the purpose of leading them into a Gospel presentation. I said, "With a name like Gabriel, you must have been raised in a Christian family." He responded, "Yes, I was raised Catholic and my middle name is Angel." We quickly found out his associate was also Roman Catholic. Jane and I shared that we were both raised in devout Catholic families but when we started reading the Bible we had a crisis of faith. Should we believe Christ and His Word or the pope and his Catechism? We explained why it was impossible to believe both since they were diametrically opposed on the answer to life's most critical issue - "What must I do to be saved?" They said they would be interested in looking at what the Bible had to say about salvation and the promises of the Gospel. After encouraging them for another 15 minutes we gave them both a complete set of our 5 Gospel tracts. As they left we told them that we can be wrong about a lot of things in this life and still survive, but if we are wrong about who we are trusting for eternal life, we will pay for that mistake throughout all eternity. May the seeds that were sown find fertile soil in their hearts for the glory of God! To order tracts for your next divine appointment click here.

Pope Kisses Reliquary of John Paul's Blood
After a 3-hour Mass that moved the former pontiff one step closer to possible sainthood, Pope Benedict prayed before John Paul's coffin inside St. Peter's Basilica. The coffin was expected to stay open as long as it took to accommodate the throngs of faithful who wanted to pay their respects. Police put the figure of those attending the Mass at 1.5 million. During the Mass, Benedict received a silver reliquary holding a vial of blood taken from John Paul during his final hospitalization. The relic, a key feature of beatification ceremonies, will be available for the faithful to venerate. Thousands of pilgrims, many of them from John Paul's native Poland, spent the night in sleeping bags on bridges and in piazzas around town, and then packed St. Peter's as soon as the barricades opened over an hour in advance because the crowds were too great. Read more

False Prophets Exposed by the Truth
False prophets have once again brought shame to the name of Christ and Christianity by declaring the end of the world on May 21. They dared to say that the Bible gave clear evidence that Judgement Day would occur on the 21st of May, 2011. Their false prophecy should have been exposed by the very words of Jesus Christ who said no one knows the day or the hour. With all the attention given to this non-event, it may be a great opportunity to set the record straight by sharing our DVD entitled "Jesus Christ vs. Anti-christ." The DVD gives over a dozen contrasts between the two Christs so that no one will be deceived or misled by false prophecies. The second message contrasts the true Jesus Christ with the many false Christs that are being preached today. Order the DVD here.
