Alumni Spotlight...Silver Vasquez

My name is Silver Vasquez III. I am a graduate of both the University of Northern Iowa and Texas Christian University. I am the Manager of Corporate Development & Communications for Chesapeake Energy, one of the leading producers of natural gas and oil in Texas. With the expansion of our presence into South Texas's Eagle Ford Shale play, I've been able to move closer to home and family. Currently residing in Austin, TX, I am married to Jenise Vasquez and have two small children Silver IV, 2, and Madelyn Gabrielle, 1.
I grew up in San Antonio, near Valley Hi and 410 and attended John Jay High School. I have four sisters, one step-sister and three step-brothers. My mom and dad have always been great influences in my life. Mom having taught me how to be a gentleman, and my dad always lending valuable advice and teaching me the value of hard work.
