When it is time to talk about salary, be prepared to state the amount you feel you deserve. Do your homework by researching the salary range for the job, consult books, people in the field, seek career counseling or a job placement office. Be realistic. Take into account that salaries vary by region or state. Don't undersell yourself. Asking for too little money can hurt your chances as much as asking for too much money.

Always send a resume with a cover letter. Be pro-active and create a customized cover letter. Taylor every resume to the specific qualifications in the job ad. Use the same terminology. Allow the cover letter to introduce your resume. Don't allow your cover letter to restate the contents of your resume. Take a Resume Writing class!

We're placing the finishing touches on this awesome software package. Students will be able to upload and manage resumes, search and apply for jobs, and register for career events.
Employers will be able to post jobs and manage applications, manage interview schedules, register for employer-related career events, and access student resumes.
